I searched for a few days on how to make a loader for ubuntu desktop to play on pvpgn servers with no luck!
The best i found was to make an sh script to try to load it, this would work great except you can not just put in the actual location to the w3l.exe loader with out adding your own code so i made this easy for you all!
make a luncher in ubuntu and on the command line put this:
env WINEPREFIX="/home/user/.wine" wine C:\\windows\\command\\start.exe /Unix YOUR PATH TO THE LOADER GOES HERE/w3l.exe -opengl -window
So mine looks like this:
env WINEPREFIX="/home/user/.wine" wine C:\\windows\\command\\start.exe /Unix /home/user/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Warcraft\ III/w3l.exe -opengl -window
That will make it so those scripts are not needed any longer!
Call me lazy thats fine but if i can click a bottun to get something done rather than load terminal type stuff out i will. Faster this way. Oh to make it load in a window add -window after the -opengl like i did the -window is not nedded i multi-task while i play games though
Hope that helps other ubuntu users
